Robotics Merit Badge

At WVROX

This Robotics Merit Badge program will take place at the bi-annual West Virginia Robotics Xtreme (WVROX), an off-season FIRST® Robotics Competition event hosted by Fairmont State University and MARS - Mountaineer Area RoboticS. 30 teams from across the USA and Canada will compete in this year's FIRST Robotics Competition game FIRST in Show! So, in addition to earning the Robotics Merit Badge, you will also visit the exciting competition during the final playoff tournament and learn from the teams that are competing. 

DATE: Saturday, August 3, 2024

TIME: 8:00am - 2:00pm (tentative)

FEES:  $15

LOCATION:  Fairmont State University Falcon Center, 1201 Locust Ave, Fairmont, WV 26554

REMINDER:  Scouts must have prior approval from their Scoutmaster before pursuing a merit badge opportunity.

PREREQUISITES: COMING SOON

NOTES: 

• Scouts should bring: documentation of any prerequisite completion, pen/pencil, lunch and bottled water
• Dress is Scouts BSA field uniform.
• In following with youth protection guidelines, merit badge counselors will have at least one other adult present.
• One week following the merit badge class, Scout advancement records will be available electronically using the registration confirmation email.
