Join the Mountaineer Area Council's contingent to THE event of 2026!
Epic. Insane. Monumental. These are just a few words that will describe the adventure awaiting Scouts and Scouters at the 2026 National Jamboree. Mark your calendars for July 22-31, 2026, and join us at the Summit for a National Jamboree that will go down in history!
From rock climbing and zip-lining to arena stage shows and leadership training, the 2026 Jamboree will offer something for everyone. Additionally, the 2026 National Jamboree will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Scouts will have the opportunity to commemorate this significant American milestone while also participating in the high-adventure and other unique Jamboree activities that make a National Jamboree so memorable.

adult requirement: Adults wishing to attend with the contingent must be currently registered in the Mountaineer Area Council with a current Youth Protection Training certification, complete a Jamboree Adult Leader Application, be interviewed by the adult selection committee, and be approved by the Scout Executive.

youth requirement: (from 2023 as a guide until final information is released) Scouts attending must be a registered Scouts BSA or Venture Scout. Scouts must be at least 12 years old and strongly recommended to have earned First Class rank by the time of the contingent's departure. All Scouts must be younger than 21 for the duration of the trip.
dates: July 22-31, 2026
location: Summit Bechtel Reserve, Glen Jean, WV
cost: $2,200 per person ($2,440 if registered after 11/4/25)
Participant cost will include the Jamboree fee, transportation to/from the Jamboree, patrol and troop equipment, insurance, and pre-event meetings. Cost is also planned to include two t-shirts, contingent hat, and collectible and trader patches. Participant's expenses may include personal equipment, BSA uniforms, and spending money. A deposit of $200 will be required at the time of registration to secure youth spots. A payment schedule will be announced when the final cost is determined to allow for spreading out the cost.
Payment timeline:
- Deposit: $200 due at registration
- Payment 1: $400 due by 6/1/25
- Payment 2: $400 due by 9/1/25
- Payment 3: $400 due by 12/1/25
- Payment 4: $400 due by 2/1/26
- Balance: $400 (or $640) due by 5/1/26
