** NEW FORMAT FOR 2020 **

Like with so many other events of 2020, COVID-19 has forced us to get creative with the way we recognize the countless hours our volunteers give to our Scouting program. In order to comply with health and safety standards, this year's annual recognition event will be held in the parking lot of the Gateway United Methodist Church, with the ceremony broadcast over AM radio in your car!

Important tips:

  • You are encouraged to remain in your vehicle for the duration of the event, listen to the broadcast through your vehicle's AM radio and view the speakers on an elevated podium.
  • You are welcome to bring a lawn chair to sit in the grassy area to the side of the podium, distanced from other families. If you do this, bring a portable radio so you can tune in to the AM radio broadcast.
  • You are welcome to bring your favorite "drive-in" snacks and drinks.
  • Restroom facilities will NOT be available.
  • Congratulate our volunteers by decorating your cars, making signs, honking your horns and flashing your lights throughout the ceremony!

This revised ceremony format allows us to give our volunteers the "in-person" recognition they deserve, while maintaining safety standards. We hope you will join us for this special occasion!
