Pinewood Derby

Cub Scouts will hold the annual Pinewood Derby Race for the cub scouts from each pack (lion, tiger, wolf, bear, webelos), and any siblings that wish to participate. A fee of $5.00 will be charged per racer.  If racers are not registered by 10:15 AM the day of the races, they will be unable to race.  Cub Scout car owners must be present to race their cars unless prior arrangements are approved by the event chair.  Cars must be registered from 9:00 - 10:15 AM on Saturday, March 9 at the race location.  Cars must be surrendered after inspection to the officials and may not be altered in any manner unless specified by the inspectors.  Cars not passing any part of the inspection by 10:15 AM on race day will be disqualified.  An optional courtesy pre-inspection will be held Friday, March 8 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM with official scales to ensure that all required alterations may be accomplished prior to race day.  Participation ribbons will be awarded each racer, trophies will be presented to the winners. Cub Scouts will be excused from their booth during the races.
