Join your fellow Arrowmen in a fantastic opportunity of leadership development. Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) is a FREE event open to any youth and adult members in Oconomowoc Lodge.
The event will take place at Sandscrest Scout Reservation on Friday, November 6 at 7:00 PM and run until Sunday, November 8 at 11:00 AM. Can't make the whole weekend---That's okay, come for just Saturday.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This conference is for newly elected Oconomowoc Lodge officers, key youth leaders, and adult advisers who are committed to building a strong future for our lodge.
COST: FREE
LOCATION: Sandscrest Scout Reservation
TIME: Friday 7:00pm - Sunday 11am
CHECK-IN/OUT:
- Friday check-in will be 7pm at the Training Center (behind the Ohio River Valley Council Service Center).
- Everyone must check-in with the Health Officer. NOTE: If you are a youth, your parent/guardian must be present with Health Officer. If you are traveling with another, a note must accompany you from your parent/guardian about who can check you in and out.
- Sunday check-out will be at 11am at the Training Center with Health Officer.
REGISTRATION: Weekend or Saturday only
This training is highly encouraged and relevant to any position within the lodge, troop, and even activities outside of Scouting. If you have ever considered taking on a leadership role, you won’t want to miss out on this incredible experience.
WHAT TO BRING:
- pack for cabin camping (without heat or A/C)
- laptop/charger (not required, but some may find it helpful)
- Sleeping bag or bedding

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
The One Lodge, One Fire Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) Conference is designed to empower Oconomowoc Lodge’s new leadership team with the knowledge, skills, and vision necessary to succeed.
Through interactive sessions, collaborative workshops, and inspirational discussions, Arrowmen will:
- Gain a deeper understanding of Oconomowoc Lodge’s identity.
- Strengthen bonds of brotherhood.
- Build confidence in their leadership.
- Prepare for an exciting year of service, fellowship, and cheerful leadership.
This immersive experience reinforces the principles of servant leadership while equipping participants with practical tools for impactful program delivery.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the LLD Conference, participants will be able to:
- Articulate Oconomowoc Lodge’s vision and identify key priorities for 2027.
- Lead effectively as a youth-led lodge while supporting adult advisers.
- Define clear officer and adviser responsibilities.
- Develop strategies for member retention and induction conversion.
- Improve communication and relationship-building skills.
- Gain skills in planning, budgeting, and resource management.
- Strengthen connections with council, districts, and community partners.
