Health Form Information

The BSA Annual Health Form Parts A & B are REQUIRED for ALL PARTICIPANTS. You can find them online here

Pack Leadership Information
These are volunteer run events! We need your help! To ensure a fun and safe S.T.E.A.M. experience for all Cub Scouts, each pack MUST have one participating adult, each day, for each group of four Cub Scouts from their pack.

For Example:
1-4 Cubs = 1 Adult
or
5-8 Cubs = 2 Adults
or
9-12 Cubs = 3 Adults
etc.
Tiger Cubs MUST BE accompanied by an adult partner at all times, this adult DOES NOT count as Pack Leadership. Event Directors DO NOT count towards your pack leadership requirement.

In order to run this volunteer led event, volunteer Station Leaders will be needed at each station each day. Your Event Director could ask your pack to provide an extra adult volunteer to assist at a station.

COVID GUIDELINES

The material in the Pacific Harbors Council's Day Camp COVID-19 checklist is gathered from the State of Washington's April 14, 2021 Guidance for Child Care, Youth Development, and Day Camps During COVID-19. If the state issues revisions to the April 14, 2021 guidance, the revisions will be reviewed and incorporated as appropriate. The council's COVID-19 task group including the Council Physician, representatives from the Camping Committee, the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, and the professional staff has developed the protocols to be followed.

It is recognized that the virus is mutating, case counts are varying, and the state of Washington's guidance is regularly amended. Following the state's guidelines will help to reduce the potential for spread of COVID-19 during day camp activities.

Day Camp staff, parents, and volunteers should follow the State of Washington's Guidance for Child Care, Youth Development, and Day Camps During COVID-19.  https://www.doh.wa.gov/Portals/1/Documents/1600/coronavirus/DOH-OSPI-DYCF-SchoolsChildCareGuidance.pdf

Vaccinations: It is highly recommended that all volunteers and other individuals who are eligible, will either be fully vaccinated (2 weeks after final immunization) or present proof of a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the start of the day camp session and have self-quarantined during the time between the COVID test and day camp.

Cloth Face Coverings/Masks: The Pacific Harbors Council position is that face coverings shall be worn at all times except when eating, drinking, or engaged in a program activity such as swimming where the wearing of a mask is impractical or would endanger the participant.

A cloth face covering is anything that completely covers your mouth and nose and fits securely on the sides of your face and under your chin. It should be made of two or more layers of tightly woven fabric with ties or straps that go around your head or behind your ears.

A face shield with a drape can be used by people with developmental, behavioral or medical conditions that prevent them from wearing a face covering.

Medical Check-In: In addition to the BSA Annual Health and Medical Form, all staff, volunteers, and campers will daily complete the BSA Model COVID-19 Pre-Event Medical Screening Checklist. https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-057.pdf

Parent/guardians are encouraged to complete the medical screening checklist prior to arrival at the site.

Write each individual's name and the date on the form.

Physical Distancing: Both the DOH and CDC recommend that children and youth be physically distanced by at least three feet or more within groups and in rooms as much as possible. In certain circumstances, children and youth must still maintain six feet of distance: such as eating or singing.
