Wilderness First Aid Training

Get ready for a 2-day Wilderness First Aid (WFA) training event like no other! Led by experienced professionals, this program is tailor-made for both adult Scout leaders and youth Scouts gearing up for thrilling Scout High Adventure Bases and wilderness activities.

Event Details:
-Date: May 24-25, 2025
-Time: Saturday: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm & Sunday: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (16 hour course)
-Location: Pacific Harbors Council Office
                  4802 S 19th St
                  Tacoma, WA 98405
-Cost: $100.00 (Includes course materials and certification) You must provide your own meals/snacks. Overnight camping NOT available.
-What to Bring: Meals. Hiking/Camping gear for improvised first aid.
-Minimum Age: Participants must be at least 14 years old

At this event, you'll acquire essential skills for handling outdoor injuries and illnesses in remote settings. Topics include effective first aid treatments, evacuation decision-making, and a management aspect based on Scouting America's specific curriculum. Upon successful completion, you'll receive a Wilderness First Aid 2-year certification.

Who Should Attend?

You must have a current CPR/First Aid Certification to attend. Note that WFA certification is required for Scouting America High Adventure bases.
