Work with a Swimming Merit Badge Counselor and water-safety trained scouters to earn this Eagle-required Merit Badge!

All participating Scouts are expected to read the Swimming Merit Badge Pamphlet. Scouts attending should also come ready to complete requirements 1 and 9. We reccomend taking notes in the attached merit badge workbook to organize your answers.

Merit badge may require work with counselor after merit badge day for completion.

Who: 50 Scout capacity (Sign up Early!)

The merit badge is split across 2 days.

When: Saturday, November 15th: 1pm - 5pm

Where: Creighton Scout Service Center (4802 South 19th Street, Tacoma, WA, 98405)

What to bring: Attend in normal clothes and bring your Bluecard, Merit Badge Workbook, and Health Form.

When: Sunday, November 16th: Time not yet finalized

Where: Curtis Aquatics Center (8805 40th Street West, University Place, WA, 98466)

What to bring: Attend in appropriate swimming atire. 

Voulunteers Wanted

We are also looking for volunteers to assist with this event to ensure as many scouts are able to complete the badge as possible. If you are a Swimming Merit Badge Counselor or have a strong swimming skill you are encouraged to register. You will be contacted prior to the event for volunteer coordination.
