Thunderbird Summit: A Merit Badge Workshop

Thunderbird Summit
A Merit Badge Workshop Weekend full of new skills and fellowship.
The Thunderbird Summit is a new winter program for the Pacific Harbors Council’s Rainier District, built to bring Scouts together for a weekend of focused learning, personal growth, and real connection. Hosted at Camp Thunderbird, this event combines seven structured instructional sessions with a Saturday night program, moments of free time, and a Sunday Showcase that celebrates everything Scouts learned and created.
The heart of the weekend is the four themed Summit Pathways, each led by registered adult merit badge counselors paired with youth instructors. Scouts choose a single track and stay with the same group throughout the event. Each track is an opportunity to learn new skills and get to know other Scouts with similar interests. (Space in each of the tracks is limited, please choose your desired track during sign up).
· Civic Pathway – Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in Society
· Voice Pathway – Communication & Journalism
· Maker Pathway– Photography, Leatherwork, Art
· Responder Pathway – First Aid & Emergency Preparedness
-There may be required work outside of the event in order to complete these Merit Badges. The Merit Badge Couselors will be in contact with exactly what will be required.
