University of Scouting 2026
Join Pacific Harbors Council for University of Scouting, a full day of learning, connection, and practical training designed to help adult volunteers strengthen their skills and bring new ideas back to their units.
Whether you are a new volunteer looking for guidance, an experienced leader ready to expand your knowledge, or a committee member looking for new resources, University of Scouting offers opportunities to learn from fellow Scouters and build your volunteer toolbox.
Throughout the day, participants will be able to attend a variety of classes covering topics relevant to Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, unit operations, program planning, outdoor programs, leadership, and more.

Time: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Cost: $25 per adult
Location: To Be Confirmed
Our preferred location is Pioneer Middle School in DuPont, WA, pending final approval. If Pioneer Middle School is unavailable, the event will be held at Camp Thunderbird in Olympia, WA. Registered participants will receive confirmation of the final location before the event.

University of Scouting is open to adult Scouting volunteers of all experience levels and positions. This includes:
- Cub Scout leaders
- Scouts BSA leaders
- Committee members
- Commissioners
- District and council volunteers
- New and experienced Scouters
- Anyone looking to strengthen their skills and knowledge as a Scouting volunteer
What to Expect
Participants will build their own day of learning from a selection of classes presented by experienced volunteers and subject matter experts.
Class topics and the complete course schedule will be announced as they are finalized.
Come ready to learn something new, connect with other volunteers from across Pacific Harbors Council, exchange ideas, and leave with practical resources you can use in your Scouting role.
