Fall Membership Kickoff Beach Brunch

Seas the day and learn how to grow your unit!

You are all invited to attend the Fall Membership/Recruitment Kickoff! At this event we will have the opportunity to learn how to effectively shape a membership campaign for your unit, learn what a community recruitment event can look like, and learn how to efficently take care of paperwork, so everyone is set up for success this fall!

Wear your Hawaiian shirt and come ready for a brunch! We will eat, learn, and share ideas with those around us!

Brunch will be provided! And there will be door prizes and incentives for attending! 

Why Recruit? 

• Recruiting brings new youth into your unit. This can provide your youth with connections and community they may not have access to otherwise. 
• More membership has a bigger impact on the community. 
• Provides more youth with the opportunity to be a part of the program.
  • Many young people are not Scouts because no one has ever asked them to be. 
• Youth bring Adults! Increasing your units youth membership also increases the pool of adult volunteers!

What we will learn

• How to hold a recruitment event
  • What resources and assistance is available to you at the council level
• What a New Member Coordinator is and how to help them succeed 
• How to engage new families and Scouts
  • Moving from interested in Scouting to Joining Scouting
• How to effectively advertise your unit 
• Fall Recruitment Incentives

Who: Membership Chairs, New Member Coordinators, Committee Chairs, Chartered Organization Reps, Scoutmasters, Cubmasters, Crew Advisors, and Any adult who is interested in learning can come!

When: Saturday, July 26th from 10am-Noon
