Leave No Trace (LNT) Level 1 Instructor Course

Discover the skills to become a certified Leave No Trace trainer and empower others to protect the outdoors!

Who Can Attend:

• Level 1 Instructor Course - Must be 18 or older to teach LNT to Scouting units.
• There will be a Leave No Trace Action Award training for 14-17 year olds. We will release information when available.

Program Highlights:

• Experiential Training
• Learn how to plan outings that minimize animal interaction and environmental disruption.
• Move beyond LNT Awareness training to deepen your understanding and influence.
• Gain the skills to teach the Outdoor Awareness Award and train your own units.
• Assist in future LNT Trainer courses to further the mission of Leave No Trace.
• Overnight LNT experience.

Training Includes:

• Engaging with 16 hours of immersive training to ensure you leave a lasting, positive impact on nature and scouts.

Event Logistics:

• Check in will be at 8 AM on Saturday and will end at 2 pm on Sunday.
• Meals will be provided for participants starting with lunch of Saturday
• Each participant should bring their own tent and mess kit and Scouting 10 essentials
• Please bring physical print outs of your Health form A and B

As always be aware of the weather! Check beforehand to be properly prepared. 

*If needed participants can stay overnight on Friday to make Saturday Checkin easier. Please reach out to TJ Williams to coordinate. There will not be intruction on Friday night, but there will be fun people around.
