Fall Cub-O-Ree

with the Jamboree on the Air and the Jamboree on the Internet!

This fun-filled weekend is three events in one! The Cub-o-ree takes place at the Grays Harbor Fair Grounds on October 18-20. The Cub-o-ree will include the fun of the Jamboree on the Air and the Jamboree on the Internet (JOTA/JOTI). These are annual events that connect Scouts all over the World through the internet and over amateur radio. Participants at the Cub-O-Ree will have the opportunity to have live conversations with Scouts from all corners of the world!

The Cub-O-Ree will not only include the JOTA/JOTI activities it will also include Range & Target Sports, fishing, a chance to work on the International Spirit Award, and much more! This event is open to all current Cub Scouts and participants should register as a Pack. Make sure when you register your Pack you are following all Youth Protection Standards. 

The Basics

Who: Cub Scouts, Lion-AOL

What: Participate in JOTI/JOTA Activities and more fun outdoor activities

When: October 18-20, Scouts may attend for only Saturday, October 19th

Where: Grays Harbor Fair Grounds, 32 Elma McCleary Rd, Elma, WA 98541

Cost: Youth: $35 Adult: $25

 

Registration: Please register as soon as possible. Packs planning on camping out should register all together. Day Only attendees must register with a parent/guardian. All adults and youth in attendance need to register ahead of time. everyone in attendance needs to bring a physical printed health form A & B. This form does not require a doctor's signature. Lions, Tigers, and camping Cub Scouts must be accompanied by a guardian. Early registration closes on October 1, 2024. Registration after will be available as space allows.

Campout: Packs participating in the overnight campout should arrive on Friday, October 18th, and depart no later than noon on Sunday, October 20th. Each Pack is responsible for its camping gear and meals throughout the event. 

Day Visitors: Cub Scouts have the opportunity to attend for just the day on Saturday, October 19th. These Scouts should arrive by 9 am and depart at 6 pm on Saturday. Attendees should bring their lunch and snacks. 

Event Volunteers: Volunteering for the Cub-O-Ree runs the various stations and helps to facilitate the weekend. They should arrive by 5 pm on Friday. Volunteers attend the event for free and have meals provided. All volunteers need to register! 

Activities: Many of the events at the Cub-O-Ree will be open for Scouts to attend as they would like throughout the day. Note! Slingshot, Archery BB guns, and Fishing will require reservations that can be made at the time of registration. These activities have a limited number of slots and will fill up quickly. Please sign up your scouts for their rank-specific activities. Example: (Slingshot Lions is for current lion scouts)
