Camp Thunderbird Heritage Day & Trade-O-Ree
Sunday, December 6, 2026 | 9 a.m.–4 p.m. | Camp Thunderbird

Every patch has a story. Every Scout has a memory. Come discover—and share—yours!

The Pacific Harbors Council Key 3 invites Scouts, families, alumni, and friends of all ages to Camp Thunderbird for a day of discovery, connection, and hands-on fun. Whether you’re exploring Scouting history, making your first patch trade, working on a merit badge, or returning to a camp you love, there’s something for you!

Explore Scouting’s past. Visit The Western Washington Traveling Scout Museum to discover memorabilia and stories that bring generations of Scouting adventures to life.

Discover Camp Thunderbird’s story and what’s next! Learn about the camp’s history, share your own memories, and hear about its future.

Trade, collect, and connect. Bring your patches and Scouting memorabilia for the Trade-O-Ree, or stop by to browse and learn. New to trading? Join an Introduction to Patch Trading session to learn the basics, practice trading etiquette, and get ready for your first trade. Multiple opportunities throughout the day will help you fit a session into your visit.

Bring history to life. Meet alumni, hear stories from their Scouting days, and enjoy old-time Scouting games that connect today’s Scouts with those who came before them.

Explore the Scouting Heritage merit badge. Scouts BSA members and eligible Venturing participants can take part in activities supporting the Scouting Heritage merit badge. Advance preparation details will be shared before the event; completion depends on fulfilling the requirements and merit badge counselor approval.

Make the day your own! Join the merit badge program, try trading, explore the displays, or simply enjoy time with your Scouting community. Cub Scouts, older youth, adults, alumni, and first-time visitors are all welcome.

Lunch is from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Purchase lunch through your registration ($10), onsite ($15), or bring your own.

Bring your curiosity, your stories, and your trading patches—we look forward to welcoming you to Camp Thunderbird Heritage Day & Trade-O-Ree!
