Special Needs and Scouting with Disabilities Training

Special Needs and Scouting with Disabilities Training
April 11, 2026
3PM-5PM
This training is designed to help Scouting leaders create welcoming, inclusive environments for youth with disabilities, medical conditions, and behavioral challenges. Participants will learn practical strategies to support Scouts who may struggle with attention, behavior, or other needs while ensuring that meetings and activities remain positive and successful for everyone involved.
During this session, leaders will explore techniques to improve communication, encourage cooperation, and adapt activities so that every Scout has the opportunity to participate fully in the program. The training will also provide guidance on planning for the long-term success of Scouts with diverse needs as they continue their Scouting journey.
Join us for an engaging afternoon of learning and discussion led by members of the Pacific Harbors Council Scouting with Disabilities Committee, and gain tools that will help make Scouting accessible and meaningful for every youth.
