2025 Camp Thunderbird Trailblazers: Trail to First Class Camp

Scouts BSA – Ready to level up before summer camp?

If you're a new Scouts BSA member or working toward Tenderfoot, Second Class, or First Class, Trailblazers is the perfect opportunity to get a jumpstart on rank advancements before heading to summer camp. This camp focuses on essential Trail to First Class requirements, allowing Scouts to complete key skills now so they can focus on earning fun merit badges with their troop later in the summer.

Date: May 16-18, 2025
Location: Camp Thunderbird
Who Can Attend: Any registered Scouts BSA youth working toward Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, or First Class.

Why Attend Trailblazers?

  • Jumpstart your rank advancements before summer camp.
  • Learn and practice essential Scouting skills like knots, lashings, fire-building, first-aid, and navigation.
  • Be better prepared for troop summer camp, where you can focus on merit badges.
  • Build confidence and meet fellow Scouts before your summer troop adventures.

Provisional Scouts Welcome!
If you’re attending without your troop, we will place you in a provisional unit (based on available leadership).
