2025 Archery Level 1 Instructor Practical Course

Event Details

This course will be offered at Pacific Harbors Council's Camp Thunderbird and is open to Scouting America participants looking to be level one certified. For Scouting America camps, L1 is what is needed to be a Range Safety officer or a basic instructor.  Learn the fundamentals, safety, and shooting technique needed for a safe and smart visit to the range!  The USA Archery Level 1 Instructor will learn Range Safety, Range Set-up, the Steps-to-Shooting, Archery Equipment, Repair and Maintenance, Programs and Lesson Plans; in addition to acquiring and demonstrating the skills, knowledge, and attitude necessary to safely run and archery range.

To complete the requirements for certification, students MUST successfully pass the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification ONLINE COURSE.
Once you have completed the online USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification, you may enroll in this practical course in order to receive your full L1 Instructor Certification.

Note: Completion of this training certifies participants to assist with district- and council-level Range and Target Activities (RATA) events. However, this certification does not authorize individuals to conduct RATA activities at the pack level, in accordance with the Guide to Safe Scouting.
