Spring BALOO Training

Event Details

BALOO TrainingThis one-and-a-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack Activities. 

 This is required training so your Cub Scouts can get a camping experience. For the Pack to go camping, your pack must have at least one Cub Leader complete BALOO training and attend the campout!
Prior to attending this training, each attendee must complete the online portion of the course. You can find it through your my.scouting.org account. After logging in, click Menu, My Training, Cub Scouts, Catalog, and scroll down to find the course. It takes about 45 minutes to complete.

LOCATION: Cowles Scout Reservation

When: April 20, 2024 8am- April 21, 2024 11am

Gear Needed:

Tent with ground cloth, sleeping bag, sleeping pad/air mattress (optional), uniform, change of clothes, sleep attire, toiletry kit, Cub Scout 6 essentials (see Tiger, Wolf, Bear or Webelos handbook), COFFEE MUG (very important), coat or jacket, hat, gloves, poncho or rain gear, pen/pencil, anything else needed for an overnight campout.
