Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation
Do you want to take your Cub Scout Pack camping?
If so, then the Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) training is a must-take course. This is required training so Cub Scout Leaders can provide a camping experience for their pack. For the Pack to go camping, your pack must have one of your Cub Leaders complete BALOO training and attend the campout! This is an overnight training!

When: Saturday, June 26, to Sunday, June 27, 2021
Check-in: 8:00 to 8:30 am Saturday
Camp Cowles Bunkhouse (near Carbon Lodge)
Graduation Sunday by 1:00 pm
Where: Cowles Scout Reservation

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)
IOLS is the required outdoor training for Scoutmasters / Asst Scoutmasters and recommended for Venturing Advisors / Associate Venturing Advisors. The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills found in The Scout BSA Handbook [for Boys or Girls] and focuses on skills that build confidence and competence in leaders conducting outdoor camping experiences. NOTE: This is an overnight training!

Cost: The registration fee is $35 and covers training materials and food. Participants will be formed into patrols on site.
Overnight camping is part of the instruction and course. Participants MUST attend the entire course to successfully complete the training.
