Scouts BSA Jamboree on the Air
Scouts BSA
Friday, October 17-Saturday, October 18
Our council is again participating in a World Scouting event known as Jamboree on the Air (JOTA). This weekend in October is always set aside to allow Scouts of all ages and nationalities to connect and learn more about their counterparts in other countries, as well as those in other areas of their own Scouting organization, through the use of ham radios.
The council hosts this event to allow our Scouts BSA troops an opportunity to learn about ham radios and work on their Radio Merit Badge. There will also be other Merit Badges offered.
Cost: $15, includes lunch & supplies
Lunch will be provided for the Scouts attending on Saturday. Other meals are the Scout/Troop’s responsibility.
If you have any questions regarding this event, contact Diana at 907-315-2418 or scouterdiana@yahoo.com.
Please complete the listed requirements before attending, or you will finish JOTA with a partial merit badge. Please check back periodically for updated lists.
