This Camporee is a council-wide event and an opportunity for Scouts to interact and have fun. Webelos and AOLs are invited. We encourage Troops to invite Webelos, AOLs, and of course their parents to join you, even if only for a day. The interaction between Webelos and AOLs is important and significantly improves the likelihood of the Webelo/AOL transitioning from Cub Scout to Scouts. Webelos and AOLs may stay the night if a parent is with them.

CAMPING: Troops will select camp sites based on the order of registration. Troops registering early will have first pick. Depending on the number of Scouts and Troops registered, some camp sites may be shared. Leaders will be contacted about camp site selection on February 9th.

ACTIVITIES: A series of fun and challenging activities is planned. Many activities will be scored, and prizes awarded for high scoring Patrols. Some activities will require advance planning and preparation. Read the notes below carefully.

FEES: $20 for Scouts, Webelos/AOLs; $ 15 for adults. Participants will get an event patch.

Friday, February 16th

5:00 – Camp Gorsuch open

8:00 – Senior Patrol Leader meeting in the Dining Hall

Saturday, February 17th

9:00 – Opening Flags

9:30-12:00 – Activities are open, travel to Mirror Lake with Units or other personal transportation; Orienteering program will be provided by Orienteering Club Volunteers

12:00-1:30 – Lunch; bring sack lunch

1:30-4:00 – (exact times TBD). Orienteering activities open

4:30 – Travel back to Gorsuch

5:00-6:30 – Dinner with Units

6:30-8:00—Evening competitions, final list TBD: fire building contest, pumpkin chucking, Dutch oven desserts

8:30 – Campfire (Costume contest judged), all units are expected to participate with a skit or a song
