Cub Scouts Jamboree on the Air
This Registration Link is for Cub Scouts
Cost: $10
Our council is again participating in a World Scouting event known as Jamboree on the Air (JOTA). This event will take place Saturday, October 18. This weekend in October is always set aside to allow Scouts of all ages and nationalities to connect and learn more about their counterparts in other countries as well as those in other areas of their own Scouting organization through the use of ham radios.
The council hosts this event to allow our Cub Scouts an opportunity to learn about ham radios and enjoy a day at camp. Radio broadcast will begin Saturday at 12 pm and last until 2 pm with other activities ending at 4 pm. Other activities will include a short orienteering course, MAT-SAR K9, Kids Don’t Float, Animal Identification, JOTI, Slingshots, the Frontier Fun Flyers, and more to come!
Please be outside the radio area 5 minutes before your selected radio time to ensure your full 20 minutes on the radio.
Meals will be the responsibility of the Scouts attending. Light snacks will be provided.
We would love for you to join us. If you have any questions regarding this event, contact Diana at 907-315-2418 or scouterdiana@yahoo.com.
