Cub Scouts Jamboree on the Air
This Registration Link is for Cub Scouts
Cost: $10
Our council is again participating in a World Scouting event known as Jamboree on the Air (JOTA). This event will take place on Saturday, October 18. This weekend in October is always set aside to allow Scouts of all ages and nationalities to connect and learn more about their counterparts in other countries, as well as those in other areas of their Scouting organization, through the use of ham radios.
The council hosts this event to allow our Cub Scouts an opportunity to learn about ham radios and enjoy a day at camp. The radio broadcast will begin Saturday at 11 am and last until 2 pm, with other activities ending at 4 pm. We will also have MAT-SAR K9 providing demonstrations, Child Identification kits, and other activities are in the works! Please check back periodically for updates!
Please be outside the radio area 5 minutes before your selected radio time to ensure your full 20 minutes on the radio.
Meals will be the responsibility of the Scouts attending. Light snacks will be provided.
We would love for you to join us. If you have any questions regarding this event, contact Diana at 907-315-2418 or scouterdiana@yahoo.com.
