Philmont Trek 2027

Mount Baker Council’s 2027 Philmont contingent will unite Scouts from around our council for an unforgettable 12day trek across New Mexico’s breathtaking backcountry. The crew will tackle highaltitude trails, face rugged terrain, and engage in Philmont’s renowned programs—such as rock climbing, conservation service, and frontier life demonstrations. Predeparture training in the Council provides essential skills in backpacking, wilderness first aid, and Leave No Trace ethics. Throughout the trek, participants forge stronger leadership abilities, teamwork, and selfconfidence. The Mount Baker Council 2027 journey will leave a lasting legacy of camaraderie, resilience, and adventure rooted in Scouting values.  The Mount Baker Council is currently looking for interested Scouts and adult Volunteers to join our Troop Contingent to Philmont in 2027.

Basic Payment Info:

September 2025 Deposit $150 

Jan 2026 $500 

April 2026 $500 

July 2026 $500 

October 2026 $500 

January 2027 $500 

April 2027 $450 (Last payment may be slightly higher or lower) 

These payment blocks end on the last day of the month indicated and are compounding so for example if a scout/scouter signs up on October 1st, 2026 the total due will be $650 to register at that time and on Febuary 1st it goes up to $1150 to sign up to make up for privous payment windows. You can make payments at any time during that payment window by loging into your registration portal (link will be emailed to you after you sign up).
