Welcome HOME to Fire Mountain WKND Program.

The WKND is an effort to provide opportunities to Scouts to be at camp either as a unit (pack, troop, crew etc.) or as a den/patrol, or maybe just on their own and get a Scouting adventure while on the Mountain.

How are WKND’s organized?

The core of the WKND program is built around units camping overnight at camp. This “core” program consists of check in, camp wide flag ceremonies, and more.. for a full WKND schedule check out the WKND page at firemountainscouting.org

Layered on top of the core program are electives. Each weekend has a focus for the electives for that weekend:

1st Saturday is Camp Work Parties and Service Saturday for folks looking to help maintain our Camp.

2nd Saturday are Range days with the Council Range and Target Activates Committee organizing different ranges open each month as well as training opportunities.

3rd Saturday are COPE days with the Council COPE and Climbing Committee organizing different aspects of the COPE and Climbing opportunities and trainings.

4th Saturday are “Fire Mountain Institutes” organized by the Training Team the weekends are a catalog of trainings to help YOUR unit’s program grow and develop.

Each WKND has four hour and a half sessions for electives with some electives taking two or more sessions (range time is generally organized in 3 hour blocks for example).

How do I register for WKND’s?

If you wish to camp overnight this is handled through the Reservation at firemountainscouting.org

To register for an elective session find the WKND date your looking for to the right, click on that WKND and register for the weekend. You will notice that WKND elective registration has a base $0 cost, but as you add a “class” for example a range activity it will add the ticket cost to the registration. Scouts can also get tickets to electives day of in the Turner General Store after opening flags. We do encourage units/scouts to register BEFORE arriving at camp if possible so we can insure staff on site for given elective windows (no registrations the Thursday before may result in canceling staff for that WKND elective as we don’t want to waste anyone’s time, so sign up early).
