OA Fall Induction and Fellowship

Event Details

Fall Induction and Fellowship Weekend

We have a super event planned for this last event of 2024. Due to high demand, we will be holding an Ordeal Induction, in addition to all the other activities we already had planned for Fall Fellowship. To pull this off, we will need more assistance and more help from our adult members for this final event of 2024. All of the fellowship and induction adventures in one great weekend. For members of the lodge, the cost of the event is $35. If you have a 2024 Octipass, the cost of the event is free.

Inductions: Fall Ordeal and Brotherhood Adventures:

Ordeal Candidates:  The cost of the Induction Weekend is $80, which covers the following: an OA sash, lodge flap, OA pocket emblem, OA handbook, and dues for this year and 2025. Registration deadline is October 11th.

Arrive at Fire Mountain Scout Camp Friday night between 6 pm and 7:30pm. Check in will be in the Administration Building in camp. Being ontime is important, as the Ordeal activities start at 8pm. Officially, the Ordeal concludes at 10pm Saturday evening, but everyone is invited to spend Saturday night and fellowship with other members. Parents should plan on picking up their Scouts between 10 and 11am on Sunday. If you plan on leaving Saturday night, parents should plan on picking up their Scouts between 10:15pm and 11pm on Saturday night, at the Administration Building.

For a list of what to bring, visit the Lodge Website at: https://www.mountbakerbsa.org/sml338-new-candidate-information/

Brotherhood Candidates:  If you have been in the Order of the Arrow for at least six months, you are eligible for Brotherhood. This is the last opportunity for Brotherhood this year. We will be holding a Brotherhood Class on Saturday morning, so you can make sure you are ready. We will be holding a Brotherhood Ceremony Saturday night. Check your email for more information and make sure to check the box during registration and let us know you are interested in Brotherhood.

Fellowship:

There are lots of plans for activities. Not only will you get fellowship with our candidates and new members from our Summer Inductions, we have some special activities planned as well. On Saturday, we have multiple training sessions where you can learn about patch designs, leadership roles in the OA, opportunities to participate in making a new campsite at Fire Mountain and much more. We will also be voting on a new standard lodge flap concepts and others, taking us into our 30th Anniversary year in 2025. Watch your email and social media for more information

Lodge Annual Business Meeting:

You were chosen by your peers because they saw you as a leader, even if you didn't see it yourself. Your Lodge and Chapter need youth to step up and lead, just like your unit does. If you find yourself wanting to take on a leadership role in the Lodge, Saturday afternoon, you don't want to miss this event. During the Lodge Annual Business Meeting, the youth members of the lodge have the opportunity to run for multiple office positions for 2025, both in the Lodge and at the Chapter Level. As a member of the lodge, youth will get to vote first for 2025 Lodge Officers and then meet as individual chapters, to select Chapter Officers for 2025.
