North Cascades District Camporee

Event Details

North Cascade District Scoutmasters,

 

The North Cascade District 2026 Camporee will be held at Larrabee State Park on Saturday, May 9th from 8am to 8pm, as the ultimate test of Scouting skills, and teamwork. This competition looks to bring together Scouts from across the district to battle for supremacy. Scouts will face a series of physically and mentally demanding competitions designed to challenge their knowledge and skills. Events may include:

 

 Pioneering Challenges – Build sturdy structures using lashings and knots.

 First Aid Gauntlet – Rapid-response scenarios to test lifesaving skills.

Knot Tying Competition – Scouts will showcase their speed and precision in tying essential knots used in Scouting

‍ Orienteering Course – A compass competition, to see how close they can find a finish line

 Scout Knowledge Showdown – Scouts test their knowledge on Scouting history, advancement requirements, and general Scout knowledge.

 STEM – See how high Scouts can launch a bottle rocket and determine its height

 Soup Chef Cook-Off – Scouts will carefully plan, cook, and present to the judges in this thrilling outdoor cooking challenge

 

 Scout Spirit Award – The Troop, Patrol, and Scout that demonstrates the highest level of enthusiasm, teamwork, and Scouting values throughout the camporee will earn extra points toward their overall score.

 

Additional details on each event will be provided to your SPL as we get closer to the event.

 

 Grand Finale – Evening Campfire & Awards Ceremony

 

All Scouts, leaders, and staff will gather for an unforgettable evening of celebration and recognition. The Evening Campfire Program will feature Traditional Scout Songs & Cheers, get ready for high-energy participation!  Award Presentations, the winners of each event will be recognized

 

Each Troop has the opportunity on a first-come basis to set-up camp at Larrabee State Park on Friday May 8th by paying the Larrabee State Park Camping Fees.  The activities on Saturday will be FREE.  We are aware that Sunday, May 10th is Mother’s Day and we hope you all can enjoy Sunday with family.
