We've been awarded a 7 day 2019 Philmont trek with an August 12 check in date. Travel dates for this trek are: August 9 through August 23, 2019. The exact dates are subject to change as travel plans are finalized but they won't extend beyond those dates.
Capacity 8-10 youth, 2-4 adults, with no more than 12 total.
A $100 per attendee non-refundable fee is due January 30th 2018.
Female Venture Scouts are welcome as there will be a female adult on this trek.
$245 per attendee will be due on October 30, 2018. Any alterations to composition of the crew must be made by that time. Scouts who do not have a contract in place and payment made by that date will not be included on the final registration.
$245 per attendee final Philmont payment will be due March 30, 2019. Overall Philmont fees for this trek are $590 per attendee.
Ground transportation from La Grande, Oregon, and sleeping accommodations, will be made by the adults leading the crew. Crew members from outside of La Grande will be responsible for travel to and from La Grande. Each attendee is responsible for obtaining the necessary clothing and gear for this trip. A detailed packing list is available and philmontscoutranch.org. Meals are included both in the Philmont trek and travel to and from La Grande, though if a Scout requires special food substitutions on the Philmont Trek, they will need to provide those.
Travel fees are set at $200. Each attendee will also need $75-$100 spending money. Travel money will be collected by the crew leaders in August prior to the trip.
Crew training dates will be set in the Spring of 2019 and will be mandatory for those living in Council. Those out of Council will have to provide their own training and it is highly recommended that they don't skimp on climbing stairs...
