Nuclear Merit Badge

Are you the next Marie Curie or Albert Einstein? Come learn about the amazing world of nuclear science!
The Nuclear Science Exploration Workshop explores nuclear science concepts, uses, and hazards over two Saturday sessions, November 2nd and the 16th. Participants must attend both sessions. Experts in nuclear science fields will be teaching the material with several interactive activities. This experience will be fun, interesting, and rewarding. The workshop wraps up on the 16th with a tour of the B Reactor National Historic Site.
The workshop is open to youth 7th grade and up, with a special invitation extended to members of Scouts BSA, Venturing, and the Girl Scouts of the USA. Participants should have a basic understanding of atoms, and have at least a 7th grade reading ability. Scouts and qualified Venturers will complete the requirements of the Nuclear Science Merit Badge through this event.
The $5 registration fee, payable at the door, includes the merit badge pamphlet, which will be provided at the first day of the workshop. All other expenses are being covered by the event sponsors.
The workshop is co-sponsored by:
