Climbing Instructor Training

About
Participants will enjoy two weekends of classroom and hands-on training, including instruction in climbing technique, safety considerations, gear selection & care, group instruction & route selection, and set-up. This class is intended to train experienced climbers up to the BSA Level II Climbing Instructor level. It is a two-weekend course and students can earn the Level I or Level II card, depending on the proficiency that they exhibit during the course.
Who: Adults & Youth aged 16 and 17 are able to attend with a paying adult, but only those 18 and older are eligible to receive Climbing Instructor Certification
Participant Requirements
Must have prior climbing experience, this is not a beginner level course.
Attendance at both weekends is required.
Must be currently registered in Scouting America.
Must also be current in Youth Protection Training, Weather Hazard Training, & Climb-On Safely Training.
Scouting America Medical form (Parts ABC) signed by a physician.

Cost: $150. Fee includes all equipment and materials. Lunch each day is also included.
