BALOO Training for Cub Scouts

Event Details

This one-and-a-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BALOO training consists of an online pre-requisite component in addition to an overnight hands on practical. BSA’s Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the discovery of the necessary tools to help units carry our a successful camping experience. Completion of this course is mandatory for a MINIMUM OF ONE adult on a Pack overnighter.

Training will take place at Martin Scout Ranch near Pendleton OR in connection with the District Camporee.  We will start at 7:00 pm on Friday and will finish by 8:00 pm on Saturday. All participants will be camping overnight so bring a tent, sleeping bag and mattress. Also bring a mess kit so that you can eat.

Cost is $10 to pay for food and supplies. 

At the evening check-in, please turn in a completed Annual Health and Medical Record, No. 680-001 and verification that you have completed BALOO Online Training part 1 at my.scouting.org.
