LNT 101- Leave No Trace Awareness Workshop

What: LNT 101- Leave No Trace Awareness Workshop
When: Saturday June 17th, from 8:30 to 11:30 AM
Where: Randal Martin Scout Ranch
Who: Adult Boy & Girl Scout Leaders, Boy Scouts ages 13+ and 1st Class, Venturers
Cost: $5.00
Why: This introductory course on the principles of Leave No Trace is a valuable resource for all Scouts and leaders to promote Outdoor Ethics and responsible environmental stewardship while using the great outdoors. It is also highly recommended training for youth serving as the Troop Outdoor Ethics Guide.
The class is being presented by the youth of Boy Scout Troop 305 (Walla Walla), who completed the Leave No Trace Trainer course last year. It will be concurrent with the Council merit badge Camporee, allowing leaders to complete this training while the youth work on merit badges. Note: Youth that choose to attend this training may miss being able to also work on a merit badge at the Camporee.
We are opening the course to our friends in Scouting, the local Girl Scout leaders.
Even though the course is free, and walk-ins are welcome, registration allows the instructors to prepare for the proper class size.
Participants are responsible for their own meals, and if they choose to camp over, their own tents and sleeping arrangements.
