1. Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (Scouts BSA)

ILST is an in-unit training program for youth members who hold leadership positions (such as Patrol Leader or Senior Patrol Leader). The training takes 3 to 4.5 hours and is split into three modules: Troop Organization, Leadership Skills, and Team Building. Completion qualifies the Scout to wear the "Trained" emblem and is a prerequisite for advanced courses like NYLT. You can access digital course modules via the Scouting America BSA Learn Center.
