You are invited to the Rivers District Spring Camporee!

Dates: April 29-May 1, 2022

Location: Red Oak Nursery, 22111 Kings Hwy, Montross, VA

Cost: $10 per person, includes camping and event patch

Event Description: 
The Spring Camporee is a time for all Scouts to come together and have a great weekend of camping, competition, recognition, and fun! This year it’s going to be a feather plucking good time with great camping and lots of fun chicken themed activities and competitions during the "Why'd the chicken cross the road?" Spring Camporee! 

Teams will compete at activity and skill stations on Saturday in hopes of winning the coveted 2022 Spring Camporee Grand Champion Award! In the afternoon, the Scouts will be able to practice their skills in slingshots, play ga-ga ball, or fish in the lake (bring your own fishing gear). Saturday night, we will have a chicken-themed cooking competition for units. The Rivers District Awards and District Crossover Ceremony will immediately follow dinner. Attendees must provide all their own meals during the camporee.

Who can attend the Spring Camporee?
All scouts and leaders registered with Boy Scouts of America are welcome to camp for the weekend as well as any Scout parents or siblings. On Saturday all family and friends are welcome to visit to watch the activities and the campfire program with no cost (don’t forget to bring a chair). Any scouts who participate in Saturday’s activities or visitors that would like the event patch must be registered by the deadline and pay
the $10 registration fee.
