Wood Badge is the ultimate leadership training course for adult volunteers in Scouting. Grounded in more than a century of tradition and guided by modern leadership principles, this course equips leaders with the tools, perspective, and confidence needed to strengthen Scouting in their local units and communities. Participants engage in interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and collaborative learning held in our Cub Scout Dining Hall, while also camping as part of the experience. Living and learning alongside fellow Scouters fosters a sense of camaraderie, purpose, and shared commitment to Scouting’s mission.
The purpose of Wood Badge is simple but powerful: to develop skilled leaders who can strengthen Scouting units. As Baden-Powell shared in 1919, Wood Badge brings Scouters together to reflect on the practice of Scouting, share experiences, and live out the principles of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to Scouting leadership, Wood Badge will challenge and inspire you—recharging your passion and preparing you to make a lasting impact in the lives of youth.
