Explore a Future in Law Enforcement

The Heart of Virginia Council is excited to partner with the Petersburg Bureau of Police to launch a brand-new Law Enforcement Exploring Post! If you're interested in public safety, leadership, community service, or exploring a career in law enforcement, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn directly from experienced officers and professionals.

Join us for an Explorer Program Interest Meeting on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Petersburg Bureau of Police Support Services Division, located at 32 W. Washington Street, Petersburg, VA 23803. Refreshments will be served, and attendees will learn more about the exciting opportunities available when the full program launches in August 2026.

Exploring is open to youth ages 14 and older and provides hands-on experiences that help participants develop leadership skills, serve their community, explore careers in public safety, and build lasting friendships.
