Council-Wide Day of Service

Service opportunity for all branches of the Scouts BSA program!

Three convenient options are available:

1. Participate in a Food Drive supporting Feed More and its partner food banks!  Door hangers will be printed and made available to those units wishing to participate in the Food Drive in advance of our May 13th event date.  Please note that registration for this option closes on April 24th to accommodate for the printing and distribution of the door hangers.
    
2. Choose from one of many Council Service Projects, which we have carefully curated to have the most impact on our community.
    
3. Participate in a Unit Service Project of Your Choice and tell us all about it!  We want to know all the good details, like what you're planning to do and where you're planning to do it!  You can register your special service project right up to May 12th.
    
4. In addition to these service options, the Heart of Virginia Council is partnering with the Virginia War Memorial to collect flags in need of retirement. If you or your Unit is in possession of flags that need to be retired, please bring them to the Virginia War Memorial’s main entrance at 621 S. Belvidere St, Richmond, VA 23220 on May 13th between 9 AM and 4 PM and place them in the provided collection area.  (Please use the Unit Service Project of Your Choice registration for this option.)
