ADULT LEADER TRAINING

SWIMMING & WATER RESCUE

May 30 - June 1, 2025

Friday 6:00 pm – Sunday 5:00 pm

(must attend all 3 days)

Cost:  $150

This training allows you to be the supervisor on a swimming outing with your unit.  It also allows you to conduct swim tests.  

Must be at least 15 years old and registered with BSA

Must be able to complete the swimmer classification test (for lifeguard must be able to swim 550 yards)

Complete Safe Swim Defense and Hazardous Weather Training online at my.scouting.org and have current YPT

Arrive Friday evening between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm.  Please eat dinner before arriving.  Check-in will be at TBS Admin.  We will be finished on Sunday by 5:00 pm.  Meals Saturday and Sunday are included.  Please notify Candy Johnson of any allergies or food concerns.

Health form parts A & B, include a copy of the health insurance card

Safe swim defense certificate

YPT certificate (if over 18 years old)

Minimum of 5 participants is needed in order for class to be held. If not able to hold class due to low participation, refunds will be provided.
