2024 UP3: Unit Program Planning Party

UP3 is an annual event to help units get what they need to deliver an exciting activities and programming for their Scouts.  Districts have paired up to provide a fun and meaningful program.  You'll share ideas, resources, and fellowship.

This is the perfect opportunity for unit leadership, including youth (Senior Patrol Leaders, Assistant Senior Patrol Leaders, and Patrol Leaders) to come out and learn more about program planning ideas for the year!

Each UP3 will feature 16 program areas, including:

• Cub Adventure Camp Summer Camp
• T. Brady Saunders Summer Camp
• NYLT
• Buckskin
• Fundraising
• Scouting Memorabilia
• Leave No Trace and Outdoor Ethics
• S.T.E.M.
• and more!

Features include a Cub Midway with activities tailored to the Cub Scout program, a vendor fair spotlighting local Scouting friendly merchants and attractions, and door prizes. Richland's Dairy will be back with their delicious premium ice cream!  HOVC’s UP3s are a must attend for units looking for fun and exciting programming!

Each event will have its own local flair, and new program areas and vendors will be added in the weeks to come.  Adult leaders and volunteers - attend both and get the full UP3 experience!

Attention, Scouts and Scouters! Please note a special change in our schedule: The Heart of Virginia Council Scout Shop will open later at 1:00 PM and close at 8:30 PM on Monday, May 13th, to accommodate our exciting UP3 event at the Leadership Center! Be sure to plan accordingly and take advantage of the extended hours to explore all that the Scout Shop has to offer while you're at the event. See you there!
