The James River District invites you to our Inaugural Merit Badge University, a day packed with fun, hands-on learning! Scouts will have the opportunity to earn merit badges across a wide range of topics—from science and technology to history and life skills.

During lunch, our District Advancement Chair will be available to answer questions about Eagle Scout requirements.

Schedule

7:45 AM – Check-in

8:15 AM – Opening Ceremony

8:30 AM - 12:00 PM – Morning Session

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM – Lunch Break

1:00 PM - 4:30 PM – Afternoon Session
 

Cost: $20 per Scout

Includes an official Merit Badge University (MBU) patch

Scouts must bring a leader-signed blue card and their own lunch & water bottle

Full Scouts BSA uniform ("Class A") is required
 

Important Registration Details

Registration is open to individual Scouts only (not by unit).

All participants must be registered Scouts BSA members.

Per BSA requirements, Scouts must have permission to take merit badge classes before attending.

Bring your blue cards signed by your troop leadership to participate.
