What is 2025 Day Camp at Deep Run Park?

2025 Day Camp at Deep Run Park or Cub Scout Day Camp is an program organized by the Heart of Virginia Council - Scouting America for Cub Scouts and non-scouting youth, from rising kindergartners to rising fourth graders, to have some summer time fun and enjoy the outdoors. 

Who Attends Day Camp?

Day Camp is open to all youth, from rising kindergartners to rising fourth graders. It provides a unique program; for a Scouts to work on requirements for their next rank and for non-scouters to have the opportunity to explore what being a Scout is like. We use the Pack approach to grouping the youth into a "home Pack" which consists of youth in the same age group.  Participants must bring a packed lunch labeled with their name and a water bottle. 

Please note that all Lion or rising kindergarteners and Tigers or rising first-graders must be accompanied by an adult partner. 

What Activities Will Be Available?

Advancement has always been an important part of our Day Camp program for our Scouts but the activities are fun and interesting for all elementary aged youth. The Day Camp program contains a well-balanced variety of adventures which includes Archery, BBs, Sports, nature, arts and crafts and other fun filled activities.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

We have numerous employment opportunities at our Summer Camps at both T.
