Lifesaving and Canoeing Merit Badge Combo Class

This merit badge weekend alternates between the lifesaving and canoeing merit badges. We will work on one badge then the other, alternating between the two. Since we are alternating, all participants will be working on both badges.
Participants must be able to pass the BSA swim test, already have earned the swimming merit badge, and be able to swim continuously for 400 yards using each of the following strokes in a strong manner, in good form with rhythmic breathing: front crawl, sidestroke, breaststroke, and elementary backstroke.
Scouts need to bring:
Breakfast and lunch for Saturday
Bathing suit
2 towels
Long pants and long sleeve button down shirt (that can get wet)
Dry clothes
Sunscreen and toiletries
Water bottle
Sheets, pillow, blanket
Jacket/hoodie
Flashlight
Copy of health form Parts A & B (include copy of insurance card)
Blue card
