Mountain Craft Weekend
Event Details

A one-of-a-kind, adults-only, getaway weekend that brings the creativity and craftsmanship of the mountaineer experience to life—crafted just for adults. Support the future of Blue Ridge Mountaineer and live this immersive and all-inclusive weekend experience.
The weekend includes
- 2.5 hours each with skilled mentors in the forge, woodshop, and knife shed, plus optional additional time on Sunday
- Your mountaineer shirt
- Your handcrafted Green River Knife (You’ll receive the blank, and you’ll craft the handle and sheath.)
- Your handcrafted metal project from Clark’s Forge
- Your handcrafted wood project from the Little Laurel Wood Shop
- Locally crafted whiskey at the lantern-lit tavern (beer and root beer options too - two drink tickets/person)
- Homemade outdoor breakfast, lunch, and dinner Saturday, breakfast Sunday, all prepared over wood fires by the world-famous Possum
- Optional dinner Friday ($10), optional to-go cold lunch Sunday ($8) add-ons
- Lodging: 2 nights camping in a private canvas wall tent with a cot to sleep on and another cot for your gear. You provide your sleeping bag and pillow. Some people like a sleeping pad on the cot too, so feel free to bring that too.
- Sanitation: potable water onsite, handwash stations, modern pit toilets, hot showers (entirely optional) just a mile away from the campsite
- Unplugging: wifi and power are only available in one building, and you won’t be there much. All “logging on” will be done with chunks of trees.
- Live stream: Little Laurel Creek is amazing
- Games and lies on the front porch
- Cowboy coffee
- Campfires, stories, songs, and almost certainly whippoorwills
- Lifetime memories
