"CALLING ALL SCOUTS

The Neptune Festival Grand Parade Needs YOU

Reserve your positions NOW to be a part of the Neptune Festival Parade on September 30 and show your Scout Spirit off!

FREE Patches for the first 120 volunteers to register are available thanks to the Neptune Festival

>Parade Flag Walkers (Youth) : ~50 Positions available throughout the parade for Troop age Scouts to carry banners & flags for various floats. These Scouts will walk a 15 minute per mile pace for 20 city blocks while carrying a flag

>Scout Leader Walkers (Adult): ~Leaders needed spaced through the parade to monitor Scouts with flags

>Parade Float Riders (Youth): ~30 Positions available on the 3 Council Floats for at least 1 Girl & 1 Boy from each area of Scouting (Pack, Crew, Ship, Post, Troop). If there is overwhelming interest from Cubs we will look into a third trailer/float but it is not guaranteed to come together in time. If you would like to volunteer a truck & trailer please tell us the trailer size in the "medical concerns" section

The parade float riders will be selected based on first registration per scout unit type. We are looking for a boy and girl from each area of Scouting (Pack, Crew, Ship, Post, Troop) to represent the Council on our floats. If the older Scouts can walk the length of the parade then we can add more cubs on the float. Please feel free to let us know if one of your Scouts has a mobility disability so we can do as much to accommodate as possible.

The first Scout of each gender, from each program area to sign up to ride the float get the slots. Accepted Scouts will be notified ~2 weeks out from the parade. If we have an overwhelming registration of Cub Scouts who wish to be in the parade, an additional float/trailer will be explored but is not guaranteed. There is no option to purchase patches. The only way to get a patch is to register on Black Pug and volunteer for the parade.

Uniform is 100% full class A for all Youth and Adult participants.
