Derby Date: Saturday, March 22, 2025 (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM)

Derby Location: Portsmouth Catholic Regional School (2301 Oregon Ave, Portsmouth, VA 23701)

Derby Eligibility: The top three finishers of each den, from every pack in Three Rivers District, are eligible to race. Arrow of Light (AOL) that have just bridged to a troop are still eligible.

Fees: Qualified Racers - $8.50 per car

Registration: Pack Coordinator, please register your unit online Online Registration deadline is Tuesday, March 18, 2025

Car Turn-In Information:

· All cars must be turned into the impound lot by 9:00 AM the day of the race. Cars may be turned in prior to race day. Please refer to the 2025 Pinewood Derby “Driver’s License” for a list of these dates, times, and locations. No cars will be accepted after 9:00 AM on race day!

· All cars must have a 2025 Pinewood Derby "Driver's License" turned in with the racer’s car.

It is strongly suggested to place the “Driver’s License” and your car in a gallon zip lock bag together when turning it in. This will ensure they are kept together.

YOUR PACK REPRESENTATIVE will be responsible for:

1. Registering ALL qualified racers through the Black Pug link located on the event page of the Tidewater Council Calendar.

2. Delivering ALL cars that have qualified for the District PWD to the Chairman (Paul Hunter) on one of the dates listed on the “Driver’s License”, prior to race day.

Ø Otherwise, they can be turned in by the representative, or racer, on the day of the race (March 22nd) by 9:00 AM.

9:45 AM – Proclamations & Introductions (Grand Marshall & Organizations attending)

10:00 AM – Opening Ceremony - (Races to begin immediately following)

10:15 AM – Lions and Tigers

11:00 AM – Wolves and Bears

11:45 AM – Webelos and Arrow of Light

12:30 PM – Lunch Break

1:00 PM – District Championship Races

1:45 PM - District results & award ceremony

Awards: Den results will be announced at the conclusion of the Den races. District results, and all awards, will be distributed at the conclusion of the District Championship Race (approx. 1:45 PM).
