PHILMONT 2025 TIDEWATER COUNCIL CONTINGENT

The Tidewater Council is organizing a council Philmont Contingent!
We will have 1 crew, containing nine Scouts and three adults. This is a great opportunity for Scouts and leaders who have always wanted to go on a Philmont Trek!
 

Scouts from Any Troop Can Go: With a Council Contingent, any Scout who meets physical, age and rank prerequisites can go.  Many Scouts miss out on Philmont because their unit does not have the desire or the resources to send a crew. Now those Scouts can prepare and go with other Scouts and leaders from throughout the council!
 

Fewer Logistics: The council serves as liaison between Philmont and crews, taking care of logistics, like air travel, ground transportation, and side trips.
Training and Preparation: The council provides training sessions, pre-Philmont preparation hikes, and experienced advisors to help be prepared for this once in a lifetime experience.
More Bang for Your Buck: With three crews pulling their resources together, the council contingent will be eligible for volume discounts on ground transport and other items, allowing Scouts to get more out of their trip for the money spent.

2025 Tidewater Contingent Fees:
The cost to attend with contingent in 2025 will be $3100 per person

• Philmont registration fee and meals
• Air and ground transportation between airport and Philmont
• Meals in-route
• Accommodations in-route
• Activities and sightseeing in-route
• T-shirt
• The fee does not include personal gear, uniforms, boots, food for shakedown hikes, or other essential personal items.
