Whether you are a brand-new volunteer or a seasoned Scouter, Winter Training Day gives you the tools, credentials, and confidence to better serve your Scouts and your unit.
What You Can Take : Participants will be able to choose from a powerful lineup of instructor-led courses, including:
Adult & Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED : A full professional-level certification course covering emergency response for both adults and youth. This is an all-day program broken into three sessions and includes CPR, AED use, bleeding control, and emergency care skills. A $25 fee applies for this nationally recognized certification
Den Chief Training : Designed for Scouts BSA youth serving as Den Chiefs, this course teaches leadership, communication, and how to effectively support Cub Scout dens and leaders
New Member Coordinator Training : Provides tools for recruiting, onboarding, and retaining families so your pack, troop, or crew continues to grow and thrive
Understanding and Preventing Youth-on-Youth Abuse : A vital training that helps adult leaders recognize warning signs, prevent harmful situations, and create a safer environment for all Scouts
Craft of Training (formerly Trainer’s EDGE) : The official BSA trainer development course that teaches how to present engaging, effective training using proven teaching methods and adult learning principles
