MM BALOO Spring24
The Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) course builds and expands on the online training modules with hands-on training to qualify
attendees as “Trained” Cub Scout Outdoor Leaders. Before attending the outdoor portion of course, attendees must complete the BALOO Prerequisite Online Training at my.scouting.org
Skills covered are Outdoor Ethics, Campsite Selection, Nature and Hiking, Stoves and Lanterns, Fire Building, Cooking and Sanitation, Basic Knots, Knife Safety, First Aid, Duty to God - Interfaith Worship, Program Planning, Flag Ceremonies, Fire Safety and Campfire. Bring personal camping equipment, tent, mess kit, and field chair. Wear Field Uniform with activity shirt underneath. Field Kitchen and food will be provided.
Timing: Check-in 8-8:30 AM Saturday, Closing Ceremony Noon Sunday
Course fee: $35.00 per individual – Includes all food and course materials
