Some of the most important discoveries about birds and how they live have been made by amateur birders. In pursuing this hobby, a Scout might someday make a valuable contribution to our unstanding of the world. The Monitor Merrimac district is partnering with Canon Virginia Inc, to deliver the bird study merit badge. The agenda is bird features/attributes, environments, ID, bird walk IDing birds w/an active birder, and recap of findings. Scouts will be issued wood for bird house construction to be returned later and the completed worksheet on birding experience.
