Are You Tougher Than A Scout

Think you have what it takes to be a Scout? Come find out at Are You Tougher Than a Scout?, a free, action-packed community event where you can test your creativity, teamwork, strength, and outdoor skills.
Participants will take on a variety of hands-on challenges designed for different age groups. Whether you're racing a Pinewood Derby car, conquering an obstacle course, mastering knots, or testing your strength, there's something for everyone.
Ages 5-10: Get a taste of Scouting through fun, hands-on activities including:
Pinewood Derby: Experience the thrill of the race
Crafts: Show off your creative side
Obstacle Course: Race, climb, crawl, and conquer
Stomp Rockets: Build, launch, and see how high you can go
And More: More challenges, surprises, and fun!
Ages 11-20: Put your Scout skills and grit to the test with 10 challenging stations, competing in buddy teams and earning points on a live leaderboard. Challenges include:
The Heave-Ho: Ring toss to rescue line throw
The Matchless Boil: Flint, steel, and a boiling cup
The One-Handed Tripod: Lash it together, one-handed
Advanced Knot Grid: Complete six knots with no mistakes
First Aid & Litter Carry: Splint, build, carry, and sprint
The Silent Signal: Communicate using semaphore or a mirror
Log Saw & Split Relay: Saw a cookie and split kindling
Dead Reckoning: Use bearings and pace to find the token
Pull-Up Challenge: Max reps from a dead hang
Push-Up Challenge: Max reps, chest to the deck
No cost. No gear. Just grit.
This event is open to military families and the general public, and boys and girls are welcome. Youth of active military parents also receive the $85 national registration fee waiver.
