ON BEHALF of Scouting America Colonial Virginia Council, we take great pleasure in inviting you to join us in supporting the 2026 People Who Move America Breakfast to benefit the Scouting Programs in our area.

On November 17, 2026 we will honor Mike Peters and McKinley Price. All proceeds from  the  event  will  be invested  in  local  youth,  by helping fund programs  that  prepare  them  for  life  by teaching  them  about character, citizenship, and fitness.

Scouting America Colonial Virginia Council Council, has awarded the People Who Moves America Award to Mike Peters and McKinley Price. The award is given in recognition of a person s noteworthy personal and/or professional accomplishments, his/her dedication to America and because he/she embodies the ideals of the Scout Oath and Law.

The People Who Move America award/event promotes awareness of the impact that CVC has on youth in the Hampton Roads areas and raises critical funds to support its programs. CVC is the largest private youth-serving agency in the area, serving 2,145 young people and 1,398 adult leaders in Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg, York, Poquoson, Gloucester, Matthews, Suffolk, Isle of Wight, Emporia, Brunswick, Southampton, and Franklin.

The lessons our programs teach have an impact not only in the lives of young people, but in our communities as well, and all funds raised from the event will help every young person that wants to be a part of Scouting has the opportunity to do so.
